Return and Refund Policy

At TAKEKO LEATHER, we take immense pride in the craftsmanship of our handmade leather products and genuine cowhide rugs. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help you with a return or exchange.
Please read our return guidelines below carefully before initiating a return.
1. 14-Day Return Window
You have 14 calendar days from the date you received your item to request a return or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:
The item must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received it.
It must be in its original packaging with all tags, labels, and protective wrapping intact.
You must provide a copy of the receipt, order confirmation, or proof of purchase.
2. Return Shipping Costs (Paid by Buyer)
The buyer is solely responsible for paying all return shipping and courier charges.
Shipping costs, import duties, and customs fees incurred during the original delivery are non-refundable.
We highly recommend using a trackable courier service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit back to us.
3. Non-Returnable & Custom Items
Please note that certain types of products cannot be returned:
Custom & Bespoke Orders: Any items made to custom measurements, featuring custom engraving, or personalized design requests cannot be returned or refunded.
Wholesale & Bulk Production: Bulk business-to-business (B2B) orders are final sale and cannot be returned under the standard 14-day consumer policy (unless verified as defective upon arrival).
Sale Items: Items purchased during clearance or marked as "Final Sale" are not eligible for returns.
4. How to Initiate a Return
Contact Us: Email us at info@takekoleather.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include your Order Number, the name of the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
Approval & Address: Once we review and approve your request, we will email you the designated return shipping address and instructions.
Ship the Item: Package the item securely and send it to the provided address using a trackable courier. Once shipped, please reply to our email with the tracking number.
5. Refunds and Processing
Once we receive your returned item at our facility, our quality control team will inspect it. We will immediately notify you of the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
Approved Returns: If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment.
Processing Time: The refund will be credited back to your account within a certain number of days, depending on your card issuer's or payment gateway's policies (typically 5 to 10 business days).
6. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrived damaged or with a rare manufacturing defect, please contact us at info@takekoleather.com within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the defect. We will evaluate the issue immediately and arrange for a replacement or a full refund at no extra cost to you.
